Rothenburg on the second day
10:00 - Off to the surrounding area: hiking and cycling
Freshly strengthened from breakfast, we set off in Rothenburg ob der Tauber into the Taubertal: or towards Frankenhöhe Numerous Wander- And Bike paths lead to wonderful views of the city, to one Climbing Forest, to a beer garden on the Tauber or to the picturesque Topplerschlösschen. If you take a picnic with you, you can enjoy it at lunchtime at Castel Sant'Angelo with a fantastic view of the city or in the Wildbad park.
14:00 p.m. - Things can get even more active
In the afternoon we have a variety of options: we can go into the air on a sightseeing flight in a balloon or plane, or we can parachute into the city from above. We get some energy out in the climbing forest. Or we can take it easy: with a tour of the Leyk's Lichthäuser and a coffee in their lotus garden. In many other Handmade businesses in Rothenburg you can look over the shoulders of the traders. An insider tip is the Alt-Rothenburger Handwerkerhaus - a small but fine address in the heart of the old town. They offer a great opportunity to look behind the old town houses Rothenburg garden paradises with insights into private gardens. You can deepen your knowledge in the special exhibitions in the RothenburgMuseum or the Medieval Crime Museum.

If you want to combine dinner in Rothenburg ob der Tauber with an insight into the secrets of Franconian wine and beer culture, then the Glocke winery or the Villa Mittermeier as well as the Landwehr-Bräu brewery in nearby Reichelshofen are the right places for you. In the winery you sit in the rustic wine barrel cellar and listen to information from the Thürauf winemaking family. At Villa Mittermeier, owner Christian Mittermeier reports on the vineyard in Tauberzell. Franconian Toppler-Pils flows from the taps of the Landwehr brewery.
