Of course, excessive consumption of beer and wine is not allowed on such a bike tour - but there is certainly nothing wrong with tasting them. The tour leads past Detwang through the Taubertal to Tauberscheckenbach and Tauberzell and into the vineyards there. Anyone who has enjoyed the wonderful view should continue on to Reichelshofen to see the master brewers from Landwehr-Bräu - and families? They prefer to stay on the wonderful Taubertal cycle path and turn back.
From castles and springs - to Colmberg and the origins of the Altmühl
Always with the Frankenhöhe in view, we head from Rothenburg ob der Tauber in a southeasterly direction to Colmberg, where a game reserve and numerous walking paths next to the castle provide diversion. The Evangelical Conference Center Wildbad in the Taubertal in Rothenburg ob der Tauber is both a cultural and a place of enjoyment. From here you cycle to the Frankenhöhe to the Wildbad near Burgbernheim - a place of peace and a place for connoisseurs. If you want to stretch your feet, you will also find a wonderfully landscaped circular hiking trail with a view of the plain near Bad Windsheim.
Over the Münster lakes to Creglingen – and back through the lovely Taubertal
This challenging tour offers cultural highlights and perfect swimming opportunities. If you are traveling with small children, follow the classic “Taubertal cycle path” past Tauberzell to Creglingen. Our tour goes over the Hohenlohe plain and through the Münstertal, past a swimming lake and the Riemenschneider altar to cozy Creglingen. We cycle backwards against the Tauber to Rothenburg.
