Enjoy culture in the heart of Rothenburg's old town

The Rothenburger Klosterhof impresses not only with its idyllic location directly on the city wall in the heart of the old town, but also with its cultural offerings. Experience a colorful summer cultural program in the area between the monastery garden, RothenburgMuseum and the Toppler Theater with concerts, readings, exhibitions, guided tours, theater and much more in the period from June to September 2024.

During the Rothenburg Fairy Tale Magic, Rothenburg's old town serves as a romantic backdrop for a diverse range of events on the theme of "fairy tales". From readings to guided tours, from theater performances to magical concerts and much more, the Rothenburg Fairy Tale Magic offers a colorful selection of cultural formats for the whole family.

The fairytale stroll through restaurants and retail, as well as the fairytale forest in the town hall vaults complement the magical range of events on offer. Fairytale-like arrangements and packages from the Rothenburg hotel industry round off your stay with fairytale magic.

Rothenburg Master Concert

One of the highlights of the annual musical calendar is the traditional Rothenburg Master Concert, which is performed every two years in November in the Reichsstadthalle with the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra. The concert series was launched by former music director Helmut Weigel in 1987.

The next Rothenburg Master Concert, in its 30th edition this year, will take place on November 30, 2024 at 19 p.m. in the Reichsstadthalle instead. Advance ticket sales begin on Monday, May 27, 2024. The evening promises a musical treat for all fans of classical music.

Exciting lectures in the Rothenburg Music Hall

The Rothenburg Discourses are a selection of particularly interesting, topical and relevant lectures from various local and selected external organizers. You would like to highlight, document and sustainably support the wide range of scientific and cultural further education on offer in Rothenburg.

In the period from October to March, the Rothenburg Discourses in the Rothenburg Municipal Music Hall offer a wide range of lectures with free admission.
