Lovely Taubertal – an Eldorado for cyclists, hikers and wine connoisseurs
The “Lovely Taubertal” holiday landscape is bordered in the south by Rothenburg ob der Tauber and in the north by the Main with the towns of Wertheim and Freudenberg.
This wonderful cultural landscape welcomes cyclists and hikers who enjoy the beautiful nature and the hospitable towns and communities with their culinary offerings. In addition to this opportunity to actively relax in the Taubertal, the Taubertal Wine Route can be explored by car or motorbike. The attractive side valleys and the heights of the holiday landscape are also included along the way. The vineyard slopes offer wonderful panoramic views of the Main or Taubertal and the neighboring regions. Cozy wine festivals, wine tastings and broom bars invite guests to regional specialties all year round.
The Taubertal Wine Route leads over a distance of 204 kilometers through the “Taubertal wine country” and incorporates the cultural landscape, the beautiful cities and communities, the culture and of course the winegrowers and vineyards. It is a road of relaxation and enjoyment that guests should take three to four days to explore.
