There are two golf courses around Rothenburg: the Golfpark Rothenburg-Schönbronn and the golf course in Colmberg.

Rothenburg-Schönbronn Golf Park

75 hectares of beautiful greenery await you in the Rothenburg Golf Park around the old Hofgut in Schönbronn. The modern 18-hole championship course is located in the middle of the natural Frankenhöhe, just a few kilometers from Rothenburg ob der Tauber.

Golfing in winter? No problem, there are winter greens! Four different tees guarantee a real challenge even for ambitious players. And beginners simply book an inexpensive golf trial day!

Where? 11 km from Rothenburg ob der Tauber

Worth knowing: The terrain is slightly hilly with water hazards and is demanding in terms of sport. Dogs are allowed on a leash, GPS devices are permitted and the green fee does not differentiate between foreign golf clubs, VCG or DGV members with different identification codes (vRS, VS, etc.). Please refer to the golf park website for the current green fee amount.

Golf course in Colmberg

The 18 cable cars at the foot of Colmberg Castle offer a lot of variety. Beautiful views and hilly holes on the Burgrunde are complemented by easy terrain near the Altmühl. Old fruit trees, fairways right next to the castle's game areas and the hilly terrain characterize the landscape of the first nine holes, the so-called “Burgrunde”. The second nine on the “Altmühlrunde” are more flat and can be played very well with precise shots. At the end of the day, the terrace beckons with a beautiful view of Colmberg Castle. Cyclists who pass here on the Tauber Altmühl cycle path also like to stop there.
